The best young players of Euro 2024
Jamal Musiala (Germany)
Jamal Musiala was long anticipated to reach the top, but Germany’s 5-1 victory over Scotland was a turning point for the world’s attention.
The star of Bayern Munich scored a second goal for Germany in the 19th minute and from the start of the game made Scotland’s team in trouble. He continued to score in a 2–0 victory in the round against Hungary and 1–8 against Denmark. However, Musiala was unable to help the German team avoid defeat against Spain in the quarterfinals.
Lamine Yamal (Spain)
Yamal is the name most mentioned before the Euro 2024. He made his debut in Barcelona in April/2023, but more than a year later, he was in the Spanish team for a major international tournament.
The 16-year-old scored his first mark with Dani Carvajal in 45+2 to raise the score to 3–0 in the match against Croatia. Then, Yamal was even brighter in helping Spain into the finals. He also became the youngest scoring player in the history of the tournament with a stunning shot at the French net in the semi-finals.
With his talent, Yamal’s value is predicted to rise sharply after EURO 2024.
Jude Bellingham (Anh)
This midfielder is only 21 years old but has played as an experienced professional player. Bellingham scored England’s only goal in a 1-0 victory over Serbia.
The young star of “The Master” continues to dominate the center of England’s midfielder, ensuring they keep their net clean and win the first F.
Bellingham’s most notable performance, however, is the eighth round victory over Slovakia. He set up a reverse bike in the final seconds of the game, when Gareth Southgate’s team thought it was gonna be a defeat. After that, they won the horseback.
In the following rounds, Bellingham continued to show confidence in the tense rotating series that helped Britain overtake Switzerland in the quarterfinals and defeat the Netherlands in the semi-finals. Bellingham’s rise after a brilliant season is making him able to compete for the Golden Ball title.
Xavi Simons (Netherlands)
The social networking phenomenon from a childhood, this puts a huge pressure on your shoulders. Finally, Simons has a chance to show off to Europe this summer after an impressive season with RB Leipzig.
The 21-year-old has helped the Netherlands win 2-1 in the opening match and has played in all of the Dutch matches so far on his way to the semi-finals.
It’s a shame that Simons couldn’t get “Orange Hurricane” to the finals. But overall, you still have a successful tournament with a superb hit in the English squad in the semi-finals.
Arda Guler (Turkey)
He’s had a 2023/24 season like his dream with Real Madrid and he’s continued that impressive form at EURO 2024. The 19-year-old has never disappointed anyone. He became the youngest scoring player in his debut at EURO with a powerful kick in the Georgian net.
Although it was not possible to increase the scoring in the remaining matches of the league, Guler played a pillar in Turkey’s quarter-finals, where they lost to the Netherlands.
